Task-Based Lesson Plan In this activity we developed a task-based lesson plan. The topic I chose was giving and asking for directions where one student was a tourist and the other was a local citizen. The tourist had to ask for directions to a museum, a hotel, and a restaurant. The local had to give clear directions using location vocabulary.                                                 City Explorers – Giving and Asking for Directions                  Pre-task The teacher shows a picture of a lost tourist holding a map and asks students: Have you ever helped someone find a place? What did you say? Task Parameters The teacher explains that each pair will have one tourist and one local citizen. The to...

Action Research Project This is my action research project about the effects of oral summaries on the development of speaking skills in EFL students. I chose this topic because in many online English classes like Planet English, students do a lot of written exercises but have few opportunities to speak. I wanted to find a strategy to help my students improve their fluency, confidence, and pronunciation.  Canva Presentation                                    I learned that oral summaries are an effective classroom activity to develop speaking skills. According to authors like Nunan, Richards, and Ellis, meaningful communication is essential for language learning. Oral summaries require students to explain lesson content using their own words, which creates a real communicative purpose. I also learned that action research helps teachers identify problems, implement strategies, and observe...

Voice Notes Activity : How I Learned English This activity was a team task where we asked each other how we learned English. After listening to our classmates, we went to the patio and recorded voice notes, commenting on what we remembered about the topic. It was a challenging activity because it forced us to speak in a spontaneous way, and we also had to remember the facts about our classmates’ experiences. Voice Note 1 Voice Note 2 How this helps me as a future teacher I agree with the use of voice notes to practice English. Actually, I use them in my class, which  help students develop memory because they need to remember what they want to say. It also helps them improve fluency. Most importantly, voice notes build self-confidence because students can record and listen to themselves as many times as they need before sharing their ideas.

SanaMente - LibreMente This is my summary and reflection on SanaMente - LibreMente, a course focused on mental health, self-care, and addiction prevention in educational settings. In this course I learned that students do not learn well if they do not feel well. Then, as a future teacher, I need to support both academic development and emotional well-being.  Canva Presentation   This course provides knowledge, tools, and self-care strategies to promote mental health, addiction prevention, and healthy environments. The central idea is that mental health creates a culture of peace. So, when students feel emotionally supported, they can learn, participate, and build healthy relationships. We also made a video presentation about this topic:  I learned that many students experience stress, a...

Task Based Learning (TBL) This is my summary and reflection on Task Based Learning (TBL). We gave a team presentation in front of the class where I talked about its origins and evolution. Canva Presentation TBL is an approach where students learn a language by completing meaningful, real-world tasks. It was developed by authors like Chomsky, Hymes, Prabhu, and Jane Willis, and finally systematized by David Nunan.                    YouTube Video   I learned that language learning can start with action, not grammar, which made me feel interested  and motivated because TBL makes learning more natural and fun. The hard part was understanding the difference between an authentic task and a simple classroom activity.  How this helps me as a future teacher TBL teaches me to put students at the center of learning. That way I will be a guide who designs real experiences to encourage autonomy, see mistakes as natural, and keep my cl...
